Writings

I have been known to write a fair bit. This is where I'll post the poems and stories I have written. Due to length, many of these will be links to their own pages. Hopefully this will encourage me to write more stories, because I have the concepts loaded.

Spoken Word

Misanthropy: a poem written in angst about how things won't get better because people are the problem

Burden at Best: a poem about a rock

A Lover, of Sorts: a poem about the north-eastern winter

Play Pretend: a poem about secret liaisons

One Step Forward, Two Steps Back: a poem about growth

Time Flies Into a Closed Door: a poem about the passage of time- and lack thereof- and how it sucks

Bad-Faith Actors and Worse Faith-Havers

Angels with silver crosses sit above me
framed with golden hair
They stare past me, nauseous, wearing
forlorn stares, I
tried to cut my losses but ended up back in the beast's lair
Tiptoed around it all cautious, now
despite my best efforts to take care
I'm ending up like old Faust is
and my faith is saying "what's fair is fair,
is fair, is fair"

Celibacy

To call two hands a muse
would be lauded
as intimate knowledge
were they any but my own

unoriginal

there are ghosts in the writer's room
i guess the cat's outta the bag
every thought in my head's a copy
of one that someone funnier and smarter has had
